Greetings to all of us.
Welcome to the official website of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Trisakti. Department of Mechanical Engineering FTI Usakti was established on November 29, 1965, when Universitas Trisakti was born as a replacement for Res-Publika University based on Ministerial Decree No. 014/DAR/1965 and the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 558/DIKTI/KEP/1993.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering FTI Usakti has a vision to become a reliable Engineering Department, with international standards in developing and applying environmentally friendly science and mechanical engineering to improve the quality of life and civilization.
Meanwhile, the missions of the Mechanical Engineering Department of FTI Universitas Trisakti are as follows:
- Organizing international standard higher education in the field of environmentally friendly mechanical engineering.
- Prepare graduates who are knowledgeable, virtuous in accordance with Trikrama Trisakti, and have an entrepreneurial spirit based on mechanical engineering.
- Develop research and community service that encourage the improvement of lecturer performance and the quality of life of the community.
- Improving the competence of reliable, virtuous human resources in accordance with Trikrama Usakti and conducting scientific publications with international standards
- Improving the welfare and comfort of all students, lecturers, and education staff.
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering is required in all sectors of life. Since its inception until the current Academic Year, the Mechanical Engineering Department has graduated more than 3000 Mechanical Engineering graduates spread throughout Indonesia and even abroad with various career choices. The fields of work and professions chosen are very diverse, ranging from state officials, civil servants, professionals with a scope of work including national and multinational companies, TV presenters, and various other professions.
In the Department of Mechanical Engineering, FTI Usakti, there are 4 specializations, namely: Energy Conversion, Machinery Construction, Forming and Materials Production Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering. Energy Conversion Specialization discusses energy machines and renewable energy. Specialization in Construction Machinery is engaged in the design and construction of machines. While the Manufacturing specialization is in process technology, both conventional and non-conventional. Material interest is engaged in the process of making materials and developing advanced materials.
In realizing its vision and mission, the Department of Mechanical Engineering FTI Usakti is supported by permanent lecturers with S-2 and S-3 education. It has 2 studios, 7 departmental laboratories, and 2 shared laboratories.
