Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Trisakti University was established on November 29, 1965, at the same time as Trisakti University (USAKTI) was born, based on Ministerial Decree no. 014/DAR/1965 and the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 558/DIKTI/KEP/1993.
The Mechanical Department (now the Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Program) in 1972 obtained equalized status according to the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 090/U/1972, namely the Bachelor’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering issued by USAKTI are declared the same as the State University Diploma. Subsequently, this status was reaffirmed by the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 0269/D/1981 dated 23 September 1981 & Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 0333/D/1985 dated 27 July 1985.
When the Department of Education and Culture made changes to the higher education recognition system, the Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Study Program underwent an accreditation process 5 (five) times. The accreditation and reaccreditation process is carried out every 5 (five) years by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) of the Ministry of Education. The results of the process are as follows:
The Mechanical Engineering Bachelor Program is generalist in nature, has the advantage of being able to understand various technical problems in the machining field, such as energy, construction, materials, and production. Competencies of graduates of the Mechanical Engineering Bachelor Program can work in various industrial sectors, both in government and private, such as Engineering Design and Project Engineer. Supported by laboratory facilities and work practices in the industry and the field, power plants, refineries, and manufacturing.
