Congratulations to the Mechanical Engineering team of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Trisakti, who won a bronze medal. This award was obtained at the Taiwan Innotech Expo (TIE) event.

Quoting from the TIE web page, the Taiwan Innotech Expo is an annual event. This year the event was held from October 12 to 14, 2023 at the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1. The exhibition aims to showcase the latest innovative technologies and products from domestic and international markets, promoting industrial upgrading, transformation, and international collaboration.

The Mechanical Engineering Department sent 1 team consisting of 3 Mechanical Engineering students class of 2020, namely Arya Dewanata, Muhammad Fahmi Arifin, and Elang Erlangga Ramadhan. This team was accompanied by a mentor lecturer, Dr. Ir. Triyono, M.S.

The project that led them to get a medal was named Potato Skin Peeling Machine Using Water Jet. As the name implies, this tool is designed to peel potato skin using high-pressure water with a pressure of 20 bar. From the test results, this tool was able to peel the potato skin as much as 1 kg/minute.
