On Thursday, October 19, 2023, the Department of Mechanical Engineering Faculty of Industrial Technology Universitas Trisakti commemorated its 58th anniversary. The 58th-anniversary commemoration of the Department of Mechanical Engineering was held in the meeting room on the 5th floor of the F & G (Hery Hartanto) building.

This event was attended by Dr. Ir. Rianti Sulamet Ariobimo, S.T., M.Eng., IPM. as dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, lecturers, educational staff, and Mechanical Engineering Department students.

The series of events began with remarks from students, represented by the president of the Mechanical Engineering Student Association, Irfan Shidqi Rabbani Harahap (Mechanical Engineering class of 2021). Next, successive remarks from Ir. Abigunto Amoro Adji, S.T., M.T. as secretary of the Mechanical Engineering Study Program. Then, a speech from the lecturer representative, Dr. Ir. Triyono, M.S. (lecturer and senior alumnus of the Mechanical Engineering class of 1971). Finally, Dr. Ir. Rianti Sulamet Ariobimo, S.T., M.Eng., IPM., dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, was a 1990 Mechanical Engineering alumnus.

The event continued with the cutting of the tumpeng, which was carried out jointly by the president of the Mechanical Engineering Student Association and the secretary of the Mechanical Engineering Study Program. The tumpeng pieces were handed over to Dr. Ir. Triyono, M.S., as a lecturer and senior alumnus of Mechanical Engineering Department. The event closed with a group photo, lunch, and a friendly gathering.

This year, at the age of 58, the Mechanical Engineering Department received prizes in the form of achievements from students, including winning a silver medal at the 2023 World Invention Technology Expo (WINTEX). Then the students won a bronze medal at the recent Taiwan Innotech Expo (TIE) in mid-October 2023, which took place in Taipei, Taiwan.

Apart from that, from cooperation partners, the Mechanical Engineering study program received grants in the form of a differential carrier simulator, transmission simulator, power steering simulator, and the main components of the 5C engine. This grant is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) work program for the 2023 fiscal year from PT Hino Motors Manufacturing Indonesia.

We hope in the future, the Department of Mechanical Engineering Faculty of Industrial Technology Universitas Trisakti will be more advanced, achieve more, always follow technological developments, become a study program that produces superior generations, competent, and makes useful contributions and is accepted by society.
